Ms. Stacy

I found out that I was destined to be in the field of teaching early on, as a former AVC (currently the CTE) student of the child care program I was able to confirm that I wanted to continue my education in the Early Childhood field.  After graduating from River Ridge High School I continued my education at Highland Community College where I received an A.A.S in Early Childhood. From there I worked as a Head Start teacher in Savanna, Illinois.  In 2001, I took a position at Mercy Child Development Center in Dubuque Iowa where I worked with children 6 weeks to age 12 on a daily basis.  I primarily worked with children in the 4 year old Pre K program with Dubuque Community schools and continued to work at Mercy for 14yrs.  In August 2014, I became a Certified Parents as Teachers parent educator for Family T.I.E.S. in Jo Daviess County. In the mist of all of this, I was able to continue my education at Kendall College in Chicago and received my B.A. in Early Childhood /Special Education in June 2015.
