Work-Based Learning

The work-based learning (WBL) program for high school students is an educational approach that integrates classroom instruction with real-world work experiences. It aims to give students the opportunity to apply academic knowledge and skills in actual work environments, helping them explore potential careers, develop job-related skills, and prepare for the workforce. Key elements of the WBL program include: internships/apprenticeships, job shadowing, mentoring, career exploration, reflection, skill development, and academic integration. This programs can help students build a strong foundation for both post-secondary education and direct entry into the workforce.
