Health Occupations - Teaching Position

Qualifications
Active Illinois RN License (required)

Bachelor of Science degree (preferred)

Eligibility requirements for IL teaching license as a CNA Instructor/Trainer (as required by IDPH)

  • 2 years of nursing experience with at least one year of providing care to geriatric or chronically ill adults in long-term care nursing

  • Approved Evaluator

  • Train the Trainer program completion (training available)

  • 2,000 hours of work experience as a Nursing Assistant/Aide and/or Patient Assistant/Aide

CPR Instructor Certification preferred (training available) 

Experience as an educator or health education position (preferred)

Good communication and writing skills. Experience using Google (Drive, Docs, Calendar, etc.)

Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, including flexibility and adaptability

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

Provides classroom instruction and hands-on instruction for the Jo Daviess Carroll CTE Academy Health Occupation students.

Performs all functions and activities as outlined in the philosophy and policies of the Jo Daviess Carroll CTE Academy.

Ability to work with regional junior and senior students from Warren, Scales Mound, Stockton, West Carroll, Galena, and River Ridge, and successful communication with applicable designees of those districts.

Position Dates:
This position is for the 2026-2027 school year (starts August of 2026)
Schedule: Monday – Friday from 7:30 a.m. until 3:15 p.m. (follows school calendar)

PRESCHOOL TEACHER ASSISTANT OPENING

The Jo Daviess Carroll CTE Academy is seeking applicants for the Little Learners Preschool Teacher Assistant

27.5 hours per week Monday - Friday at $14.00 per hour.
