Dr. K
Hello, I’m Dr. Kris Hall (Dr. K) and I’m the Director of the Jo Daviess Carroll Career Technical Education (CTE) Academy in Elizabeth, Illinois. The CTE Academy was formerly known as the Area Vocational Center (AVC). This is my 3rd year as the CTE Director after retiring from the Dubuque Community School District in 2018. I have been a national consultant for ELOB and Frameworks (staff development program – literacy); and regional consultant for Macmillan/McGraw-Hill (language arts) and Intercultural Competency. I was awarded the 2006 Ruby Sutton (Humanitarian) Award by the Dubuque Branch of the NAACP. I have been a member of Dubuque’s faces & voices cultural celebrations and was on the Iowa Safe Schools’ Board of Directors.
I have a Bachelor of Science (Elementary Education) and Master of Education (Reading) from Indiana University of Pennsylvania; and a Ph.D. (Educational Administration) from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. I hold a Superintendent’s, Principal’s and evaluator’s licenses in Illinois and Iowa.
