I have been a lifelong resident of Jo Daviess County, currently  living in Elizabeth with my family. I with found out that I was destined to be in the field of teaching early on.  As a former AVC (currently the CTE) student of the child care program I was able to confirm that I wanted to continue my education in the Early Childhood field.  After graduating from River Ridge High School I continued my education at Highland Community College where I received an A.A.S in Early Childhood. From there I worked as a Head Start teacher in Savanna, Illinois.  In 2001, I took a position at Mercy Child Development Center in Dubuque Iowa where I worked with children 6 weeks to age 12 on a daily basis.  I primarily worked with children in the 4 year old Pre K program with Dubuque Community schools and continued to work at Mercy for 14yrs.  In August 2014, I became a Certified Parents as Teachers parent educator for Family T.I.E.S. in Jo Daviess County and continue to serve families with children birth to age 3.

In the midst of all of this, I was able to continue my education at Kendall College in Chicago and received my B.A. in Early Childhood /Special Education in June 2015. I also have obtained my Level 4  Infant/ Toddler credential and my Level 5 Early Childhood credential through Gateways of Illinois.

In my free time I am an active supporter of my 3 busy children. I enjoy going to sporting events, working with my Girl Scout troop, entertaining family and friends, as well as gardening and cooking.
